Meet the SIG LA core team at a pre conference event for LSAC 2017

October 25th Amsterdam Pre-conference event LSAC 2017

Dear attendee of the Learning & Student Learning Conference,

The Special Interest Group (SIG) Learning Analytics of SURFnet[1] supports practice-oriented research towards the application of learning analytics in Dutch higher education. In the past, this resulted in several whitepapers, presentations and workshops which were well-received by targeted stakeholders. With over 1600 members, the SIG has a broad audience and is looking forward to increase the maturity of learning analytics at Dutch institutes. Recently, the SIG adopted new strategic goals, specifically aimed toward:

  • Policy and institutional vision
  • Evidence
  • Pedagogy
  • Technology

To further develop their goals, the SIG core members kindly invite all conference attendees to join the session at the preconference and share ideas, discuss the new SIG goals and support the advance of learning analytics in (Dutch) education. Core members are looking forward to briefly present conceptual approaches to achieve the aforementioned goals, after which there is ample opportunity for open discussion.
